Mrs Ohio, Stephanie Gooden, to be competing in the Mrs America Competition 1-8 September, wearing Cicada Symphony Designer Jewellery

Stephanie is the current Mrs Ohio and will be competing in the upcoming Mrs America Competition in September '09.   We were introduced via the US based website www.seekingdesigners.com on which Cicada Symphony Designer Jewellery is listed.   I am thrilled to say that Stephanie has chosen to wear Cicada Symphony jewellery throughout the Competition.   Currently the jewellery is winging its way to her and I look forward to posting photos of her wearing the pieces when she receives them.

THE GARDEN

The garden is coming along well with three new vege beds under construction.   We've joined the Diggers Club which has fabulous heirloom veges - well recommended!   Also landscaping various sections of the garden - currently the sunny side of the studio where we're putting in a pink and blue spring garden (Love in a Mist, Lilac Poppy, Nemophila & Native Everlasting) with hanging rosemary over the retaining wall and climbing roses up the chicken wire fence.  Add a nice bottle of chilled white, some al fresco nibbles and parrots in the trees above - bliss!

WHAT ONE WILL DO IN ORDER TO PROMOTE

It seemed like a good idea when approached by a PR firm last year to agree to be profiled on the cover of the Blue Mountains phone book - under the title "Creative Australians Inspiring Their Communities" in order to promote the Blue Mountains Artists Company Studio Trail.   But now that it's out it's amazing how confronting it is!!!   It has upped the numbers for the trail but a pity that doesn't necessarily convince people to spend whilst we're in a recession.

DUBAI FASHION FESTIVA

Invited to participate in the Dubai Fashion Festiva in June.   Interested and keen to go.   Do my research; arrange finance;  swine flu hits, decide to put in vege garden instead!   Strange how priorities shift!
